David Jones Beauty now with PETA Cruelty Free Accreditation

David Jones is delighted to announce that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has affixed its Cruelty Free accreditation to the full range of cosmetics, skin care, sun care and self-tanning lotions sold under the David Jones banner.

We know that animal testing is an important issue for our customers, which is why we have been using alternative testing methods for our own range of beauty products for a number of years.

Many in the industry believe that these alternatives, such as vitro tests, are faster, cheaper and more reliable than testing on animals. However, animal testing remains standard practice for some brands, who still need to test on animals in order to sell their product into some countries, even if that testing does not reflect their own brand values.

In supporting these alternative methods, David Jones is saying ‘no’ to animal testing on its own range of beauty products. We have also joined PETA’s Beauty without Bunnies campaign, which provides shoppers with all the information they need to make cruelty-free choices. Click here to find out more about the campaign.
