Why we’re crushing on Dior’s new it bag


We just met Dior’s new it bag, and we think it might be love.

Balancing the timeless elegance of Christian Dior with an edgy, aged-gold metal J’ADIOR embellishment, this must-have accessory is the embodiment of contemporary chic.

Spied on the streets of Paris Fashion Week toted to and from elite runway shows, the J’ADIOR bag is fashion’s latest obsession. Made from black calf skin, the versatile flap bag features a detachable drawstring chain, so it can be carried by hand or worn cross-body style – perfect for the modern gal with places to go, and people to impress.

The bag was launched with the unveiling of the House of Dior’s incredible ready-to-wear campaign for Spring Summer 2017 – the first collection under new Artistic Director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Captured by French photographer Brigitte Lacombe and featuring twin models Ruth and May Bell, the crisp, minimalistic imagery is infused with fresh feminist spirit. If this first campaign is anything to go by, it’s clear Chiuri’s vision is to craft a fresh take on Dior femininity, in keeping with broader cultural trends.

Fashion that corresponds to their changing needs, freed from the stereotypical categories of "masculine/feminine", "young/not so young", "reason/emotion", which nonetheless also happen to be complementary aspects.”
