It's official! Cool kid go-to retailer General Pants has moved into David Jones (menswear only, for now...) and what better way to celebrate the hook up than with a launch party?
Hosted by General Pants Design Director Pip Edwards (check out her own athleisure brand P.E.Nation
), by 6pm the space was teeming with party people with guests like actress April Rose Pengilly, MTV presenter Krit Schmidt, musician duo Set Mo, bloggers Tash Sefton and Elle Ferguson, and David Jones ambassadors Jesinta Campbell and Jessica Gomes.
By 7pm, electronic indie band-of-the-moment Safia had the party heaving with a sweet DJ set while the crowd dined their way through Woofy's mini gourmet dogs and downed drinks courtesy of Smirnoff, Red Bull and Tiger Beer. Tattoo artist Gummy Johnston laid down some permanent art on several brave guests while over at the GIF photo booth, it was a flurry of pouts, peace signs and winks.
Amidst this all were shoppers accessing the GP racks, browsing through the best edit of men's streetwear fashion from brands like Zanerobe, Ksubi, and Insight. A few girls were buying up too, perhaps taking after our girl Jesinta Campbell who admitted to stealing one or two pieces from Buddy's wardrobe for herself. What can we say? Everything goes at the cool kids club.
