The summer season brings a whole host of exciting outdoor activities - picnics in the park, beach days spent underneath a big umbrella, boating on the harbour nad of course, music festivals. A summer concert, gig or festival is an integral part of the Australian summer season, and wearing the right outfit will ensure you feel comfortable and chic all day long. This season, we've got our eyes on a few trends you should consider when shopping for the perfect outfit.
Anything that is heavily embellished and brightly coloured is always going to make you feel like having fun. This includes fringing, jewels, pom poms, tassles, embroidery and anything else that is a little quirky and boho. All-white is a trend we'd love to see more of at music festivals, but only if it's not muddy and you're prepared to get your outfit dry cleaned afterwards (because you'll definitely need to!). Wearing all-white will mean you'll keep cool all day long, and looks fresh and sets off your summer glow nicely. The twin-set is also going to be a popular one this summer and makes a statement without looking like you've tried too hard. This crop and shorts by Lover is one of our favourites! Double denim is still a good one to rock for the guys and the girls - a chambray shirt and denim cutoff shorts is always an outfit you can run around in and be completely comfortable all day long. The romper or playsuit is a festival favourite this season as it is such an easy look to pull off - tie a denim jacket around your waist, pop on a pair of oversized sunglasses and you have the perfect outfit.
