The summer lipstick look you have to try
Turn your attention to this modern interpretation of the power pout – the glitter lip. It’s having a moment, and should be worn as a party accessory along with those YSL pumps. Be inspired by make-up artist Peter Philips and his glitter lip creation for Fendi’s Spring ’17 show. Glitter pigments hold best when applied on top of your favourite bold lip colour, topped with a dab of gloss.
This season a little sparkle goes a long way. As the evening grows darker, glitter pigments will catch and reflect the remaining light. Keep reading to get the look…

Trace on liner prior to applying your colour to stop pigment feathering. One of our favourites for this step is Laura Mercier’s Lip Pencil in Punch.

Opt for a punchy red lip colour that is creamy on application, then sets to matte. We’re currently loving Clinique Pop Liquid Matte Lip Colour + Primer in Fireball Pop.

Blend a pigment over your colour to really make your pout pop. Once applied, collect any glitter fallout with sticky tape. Trust us, it’s a game changer. Try MAC’s Pigment in Rose for fabulous results.

Complete your look with a sheer or coloured gloss – this will help to plump up your pout. For this step you can’t go wrong with Tom Ford’s Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in Lost Cherry.
