Primp and preen with two makeup looks that reflects this season’s new beauty trends.
A matte, fresh-faced look will enhance the natural glow from your cheeks, or choose to take it up a notch with a bolder, sexier look that will make heads turn.
Here’s how to recreate the looks:
- Create complexion perfection with a pore-refining primer. Once it has sunk into your skin, apply a light layer of liquid foundation with a foundation brush to even skin tone. Accentuate your cheekbones by brushing a blush from the hollows of your cheeks out towards your ears.
We recommend MAC Prep + Prime Skin Smoother and MAC Studio Careblend Pressed Powder.
- Make your eyes the focus : Coat your eyelids all the way up to your brow-line with a shimmery shadow, taking it to the corner of your eyes and lightly shimmering under your bottom lid-line. Open your eyes up by applying individual fake eyelashes along your top lash-line, then coat with mascara for added length and separation. For a bold touch, apply a darker, coppery shade of shimmer eyeshadow on your lids taking it up to your brow bone.
We recommend MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow in A Glimmer of Gold.
- Clean and manicured brows keep the look polished. Using a brow brush, brush your brows upwards and into shape, then lightly feather your brows with an eyebrow pencil for added definition.
We recommend MAC 208 Angled Brow brush and Luxe Brow pencil.
- Keeping the lip understated is key for a bare look. Line your lip with a nude liner, in a slightly darker shade than your lipstick, then fill your lips with a nude lipstick. Keen to make a statement? Go with a bright orange lip. Line the outside of your lips, focusing on creating the perfect Cupid’s bow, then fill your lip in with lipstick for an attention-grabbing pout.
We recommend MAC Matte lipstick in Velvet Teddy and MAC Pro Longwear Lip pencil in Etcetera for the bare look, and MAC Matte lipstick in So Chaud and MAC Pro Longwear Lip pencil in What a Blast.
