Jurlique Wellness Campaign

When it comes to wellness and skincare, Jurlique knows the importance of looking after yourself, both inside and out. From 5-18 October, they're teaming up with nutritionist and wellness warrior Jacqueline Alwill from the popular health site, Brown Paper Bag, to provide tips on how to live a healthier life and be your best self.

Here, we chat with Jacqueline on her passion for nutrition and health, and she shares the recipe for her favourite healthy treat.

Where did your interest in nutrition and wellness stem from?

I’ve always had a love of food; it started at a young age watching my dad cook in our home in Sydney’s northern beaches. I experimented lots generally in cooking when I was younger and then started to become more interested in how to improve your health with what food was going into your body. It wasn’t until I was in my mid-twenties and when I made the switch from working in the corporate world to studying nutritional medicine that I truly explored my passion in nutrition and wellness and well, here we stand now. I absolutely love what I do, and feel so happy to live and breathe nutrition, health and wellness. 

What interested you about the collaboration with Jurlique?

It’s a beautiful iconic brand, built on organic, bio-dynamic philosophies in skin care using only the most natural of ingredients, and these elements reflect so much of what I promote in health too. We set out in our partnership to inspire people to find their glow by bringing the ingredients in the stunning range of Jurlique products to life in their diet, health and nutrition.  

What are your favourite Jurlique products for healthy glowing skin?

I love the Rosewater Balancing Mist and when I am having some me-time, the Skin Brightening Mask is absolutely heavenly. Rose Hand Cream is always in my bag to keep my hands lovely and soft. 

What’s your all-time favourite nutritious meal or snack?

The Citrus Balls are a definite snack time favourite and I can’t go past the Turmeric Quinoa and Roast Pumpkin Salad. If I have the Turmeric Quinoa Salad I’ll make some poached chicken or chickpeas as a bit of protein to accompany and an extra salad such as Raw Zucchini Noodles with Horseradish, Avo and Tomato. 

Out of all of the recipes you are sharing with Jurlique fans and customers, which is your favourite and why?

Oh that’s such a tough question – I love all of them! Ok…perhaps, the Raw Choc Avocado Tart because it’s definitely one of the recipes that makes people’s jaw drop when they discover it’s made purely from wholefood ingredients and in particular when the avocado is the key ingredient to the chocolate filling! It’s incredibly delicious and tastes decadent, but has such wonderful nourishing ingredients. The best! Find out how to make the Raw Choc Avocado Tart.
