Procurement

Our Procurement team coordinates all non-merchandise contracts to ensure they deliver the most commercially favourable terms for David Jones.

Working as part of the Procurement team, you will assist in reviewing and negotiating all existing and future indirect contracts, as well as maintaining or enhancing the quality of these services.

Merchandise Buying

Every year, David Jones purchases merchandise from over 600 vendors. We attend fashion and design shows around the world to hand-pick the best possible merchandise for our customers.

Working with one of our Merchandise buying teams, you will help ensure the merchandise and brands available at David Jones represent our customers, meeting both their current and future demands. You will assist in planning, sourcing and managing the product and brand assortment of all 37 stores across Australia. You will also have the opportunity to manage our promotional programs.

Marketing

In the average year, the David Jones Marketing team is responsible for organising fashion, food and home events, seasonal fashion launches, and nationwide advertising campaigns.

Working with the Marketing team, you will assist in identifying, understanding and communicating with our customers. You will become the brand guardian, ensuring that all communication to our customers reflect our company’s beliefs and principles.

Supply Chain and Logistics

The Supply Chain team manages the end-to-end delivery of over 40,000 products to 35 locations around Australia.

Working as part of the supply chain and logistics team, you will help coordinate the distribution flows that link our distribution and warehouse facilities.

Retail Development

The key to our success is the hand-picked candidates we attract, develop and retain. Every year, our Human Resources team reviews almost 60,000 applications and runs a series of ongoing development programs.
